PETG Printing Guide

PETG is a core material for resellers and print farms that need stronger parts than standard PLA.

Recommended PETG settings

Typical nozzle temperature is 220–250°C and bed temperature is usually 70–90°C.

PETG benefits from moderate cooling and careful first-layer adjustment. It often needs slightly less squish than PLA to avoid sticking too strongly.

  • Dry PETG if bubbling or rough surfaces appear.
  • Use a release layer when printing on very sticky surfaces.
  • Tune retraction to reduce stringing.

High-transparency PETG notes

Transparent PETG can be used for lamp covers, display parts and decorative models.

For better optical appearance, use suitable wall thickness, slower outer walls and consistent extrusion.

Wholesale buyer notes

PETG is a strong catalog product for resellers because it bridges hobby and functional printing demand.

For wholesale evaluation, test black, white, transparent and high-transparency colors separately because different pigments can affect visual result.
