Material Conditions
Printing Conditions, Drying and Hardware
| Material | Applications | Drying and feeding | Printer and nozzle |
|---|---|---|---|
| TPU | Feet, protective covers, flexible connectors | Typical drying start: 45–55°C for 4–6 hours. Direct-drive feeding is preferred for softer grades. | Use a controlled filament path, low print speed and conservative retraction. |
| ASA | Outdoor housings, drone accessories, UV-exposed parts | Keep sealed and dry when surface quality or long prints are required. | Enclosed printer recommended; heated bed, controlled cooling and brim help reduce warping. |
| PA6-CF | Jigs, fixtures, robot structures, mechanical components | Typical drying start: 80–90°C for 8–12 hours. Print from a dry box when possible. | Hardened steel nozzle required; 0.4–0.6 mm nozzle and enclosure recommended. |
Application Matrix
Choose by the Part You Need to Print
| Application | Primary option | What to validate |
|---|---|---|
| Outdoor parts | ASA | UV exposure, enclosure temperature, bed adhesion and dimensional tolerance. |
| Drone components | ASA / PA6-CF | Choose ASA for outdoor housings; PA6-CF for stiff structural components after load testing. |
| Robot parts | PA6-CF / TPU | Use PA6-CF for rigid structures and TPU for protective or flexible interfaces. |
| Jigs and fixtures | PA6-CF | Drying, print orientation, nozzle wear and final dimensional inspection. |
| Print farms | TPU / ASA by job | Dedicated profiles, dry storage, enclosure capacity and repeatable material handling. |
